A Little Travel Video…Thailand’s Culture and Geography!

There is a contest in my school right now where you have to make a video about a different country and you have to talk about its geography, religion, foods and stuff like that. So I thought “What better place to make a video about than Thailand?” I added some pictures I thought were fascinating about Thailand and shared some facts too, so I ended up turning my school project into a blog post!

Also, I have to say, since people keep asking me, the photos in my blog posts are usually my own that I have taken — some of the ones in this video are my Aunt Shannon’s but usually they are all mine, and she even uses some of mine! :)

My Thailand Culture and Geography Video

About Ana

I've got heart and soul, and stories waiting to be told. In 2011, I first left the US and was homeschooled from Southeast Asia by my aunt for 6+ months. Now, I travel with her in the summers and share my stories here. I've visited 7+ countries and counting! "Wherever you go, go with all your heart" — Confuscious

My wife and I were recently planning to visit Thailand last month, but the floods washed away our plans. We hope that people you probably met will be able to put their lives together again and move forward as a nation. We just viewed your video, and we want to thank you for producing such a nice introduction to Thailand for everyone to watch. I think that you covered some very interesting topics in your overview. I want to congratulate you for putting yourself out there and obtaining a great education as you spend time visiting foreign lands. Hopefully our big world will welcome you everywhere that you go, and that you will be safe as you obtain memories that shall not soon leave you. Every young person should have the opportunity to do what you are doing – the world would without doubt be a better place when we all admit that we are all about the same, especially when we are happy. Best wishes, and keep writing about what you discover so that others may learn from you, Ana!

The floods have been doing a lot of bad things but they are getting better slowly. I’m glad that you realize everyone should be able to have this experience. Thank you!!

This was really neat! Thanks so much for sharing. I was a geography teacher for a while, and I can tell you that you should be very proud of this.

    Ana,

You are a natural on camera! Nice work with your project; when do you hear back on it?

Hope you had a fun trip to Laos.

Thank you! I messed up a couple of times, so not that natural. I think in about a week or so my school announces that winners, but I don’t know because they didn’t give out that information but I will tell you if I won as soon as I find out. Laos was in the middle. :)

I love it that you’re doing your own blog. We may be moving our family to southeast Asia and we have two boys (11 & 13 years old). I’m excited to show them your website.

If you move your family to Asia we should meet up!
